The Importance of attending SPEED Foundation Course

Why is there a need to attend PG foundation course?

After finishing up with the internship period, most of the medical students spend at least a year or two to prepare for NEET PG.

Speed Medical Institute has been conducting PG foundation course for the preparation for this examination for the past 18 years.

Now the question arises, Why it is important? When should I join and if I join what are the benefits of joining this foundation course of Speed Medical Institute?

The ideal time for joining the foundation course is when the student is in the second year when subjects like Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology are being taught. When a student joins this course in the second year, the Institute gives the classes for Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Forensic medicine. The second year of foundation programme is designed to give the students about ENT, Ophthalmology, SPM, Surgery, Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, and Pediatrics.

So in the first year of this foundation course, the first year and second year subjects are being covered and in the second year, the pre-final year and final year subjects are being covered. Finally, in the third year of this course, the student gets on to one complete year course along with Dermatology, Anaesthesia, Radiodiagnosis, Psychiatrist which makes up a complete programme that is inbuilt along with the medical curriculum.”

Speed Medical Institute is providing a two years program and three years program for this PG Foundation Course so that the preparation time is imbibed and is created as a part of the medicine programme itself.

After completing the internship, the student will not have to waste one or two years for the PG preparations as the syllabus has already been imbibed within the preparation for medicine itself.

Speed Medical Institute has been creating toppers year after year like, Dr. V. Vaishnavi, who scored rank two in PGI in November, 2017; Dr. Sangeetha.R who scored NEET marks of 831 and there are many more who had scored top ranks and top marks in NEET, PGI, AIIMS, and JIPMER.

The core reason for these students to achieve this rank is that they had started learning very early under this two years and three years program. In case, if they would have started after their internship, this might could not have been possible.

This program also gives a structure in a way that it helps the student for the subject for the theory exam and also it gives all those aspects required for entrance as well. So, it serves two purpose for the student to read depth under the subject as well as get to PG entrance exam preparation as well.

I strongly recommend this course for all those students who are in the second year and the pre-final year to join three years and two years program respectively and should complete all those aspects for PG entrance preparation within the medicine preparation itself and should not waste even a single day after internship for a PG entrance preparation.

In situations, where a student is not able to attend the classes, the entire class videos, notes as well the PPT presentations are loading in Speed Learning Application and given to the students so that they can revise it at home whenever they feel the need for that and this gives the students a convenience to view the missed classes and revise it on their Android and iOS on Speed Learning App.  The classes are conducted mostly on Sundays apart from the regular college hours and the students can spend those valuable time. This programme goes from April to November and its been highly recommended for all the students who are in the medical field.
